MFET 163 Little Blazer Engine in NX

MFET 163 Final Project – Little Blazer Engine (LBE) Assembly in NX

The Little Blazer Engine is a one-cylinder engine design created as part of the final project in MFET 163—an introductory course focused on CAD and PDM systems — designed and assembled a Little Blazer Engine (LBE) using Siemens NX.

This project demonstrated proficiency in 3D modeling, large assembly creation, and design annotation within NX, as well as effective data management using the Aras Product Data Management (PDM) system. This course provided valuable insight into the full product development lifecycle, from initial design to considerations for manufacturing.

Required hands-on experience with creating 3D PDFs, applying 3D annotations, and organizing complex assemblies composed of individually modeled parts. The skills and tools I developed during this project are directly applicable to real-world engineering workflows. This experience was a foundational step in preparing me to contribute to industry-scale design projects of varying complexity.
