ASME Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing credential
The ASME GD&T Milestones course at Purdue is a credential workshop focused on the foundational principles of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, commonly used in engineering design and manufacturing. Developed a working knowledge of engineering drawing interpretation, dimensional tolerancing, datums, and feature control frames over a series of structured sessions.
The course emphasized the application of GD&T in real-world contexts, including tolerance stack-ups and inspection methods aligned with industry standards. Through hands-on exercises and guided instruction, I gained practical experience in how GD&T improves communication between design, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
Completion of the course included earning a digital badge, demonstrating verified proficiency in core GD&T concepts, reading and application of technical drawings with precision—essential skills for mechanical design and manufacturing roles.
